EPSN is searching for an Assistant Doctor for Psychiatrie to join a hospital in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

Further education

The medical further education (specialist registrar) lasts between 5 and 6 years, but it depends on the area of expertise. Your education is accompanied by national chamber doctors for training authorized doctors in a University Centre, a University Hospital or an authorized health establishment. This may include the practice of an established doctor.
During their education time as training assistants the doctors have to conform the catalogue, which is determined in the training order or in the guidelines on the content of training.
After that you can register yourself for the specialist examination at the State Authorisation Association for Medical Issues (Landesärztekammer).
During an oral expert talk, the examination board decides if  you pass the annual examination or not.  The jury consists of two doctors of your subject and one of different subject. After you pass the exam, the State Authorisation Association for Medical Issues (Landesärztekammer) issues your Certificate of Recognition (specialist doctor).
In Germany you are just allowed to call yourself specialist doctor if you pass this specialist examination and receive your State Authorisation Association for Medical Issues (Facharzt).

 

Requisitos

The Assistant doctor will work within the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Psychosomatics and addiction medicine.

You will be qualified within withdrawal Treatment within mental health.
As the Assistant doctor it is essential that you are a team player with a motivated personality and very good German language skills.

The psychiatric-psychotherapeutic department with over 85 fully stationary and 45 partially stationary planned beds/ treatment places as well as an outpatient and victim ambulance treats the whole spectrum of diseases of the field. Within our internal differentiation we have an open and closed general psychiatric area, each additionally with a station for addiction specific treatments (qualified detoxification and motivation treatment), psychotherapy and geronto-psychiatry as well as day clinics.
